Day 2: Initiating an EMS based on ISO 14001

• Definition of the scope of EMS
• Definition of EMS policy and objectives
• Planning aspects of environmental management – legal/regulatory and impact issues
• Drafting an EMS
• Drafting an environmental policy
• Developing and delivering meaningful objectives and targets

Day 3: Implementing an EMS based on ISO 14001

• Implementation of a document management framework
• Design of controls and writing procedures
• Analyzing and implementing operational processes and controls
• Emergency preparedness and response process
• Development of a training & awareness program and communicating about the Environmental
• Operational management of an EMS

Day 4: Controlling, monitoring,measuring and improving an EMS;the certification audit of an EMS

Day 5: Certification Exam

Prerequisites

ISO 14001 Foundation Certification or a basic knowledge of ISO 14001 is recommended
